Benefits of Soy

Soy products, such as Soy Hardy Tofu and Roasted Soynuts, have numerous health benefits. If you haven't already tried our tofu, soynuts or soysage (coming soon), check out our recipes for some great dishes! Your body will thank you!

Our zero carbohydrate, cholesterol free products are full of vitamins, minerals, calcium and protein. Soy Hardy's low saturated fat soy foods can help control kidney disease and diabetes and may help prevent heart disease. Our tofu is also very high in calcium (see below table, Food Values of Common Protein Foods). If you make tofu a part of your everyday diet it may lower your risk of osteoporosis.

Tofu is a good source of isoflavones which take place of true hormones in your body, such as estrogen. For women who are having symptoms of menopause, try eating more soy products. The isoflavones may help build your estrogen levels therefore help diminish your symptoms.

It has been proven in Asian countries (known for their low percentage of people with cancer), that soyfoods may help prevent cancer. When an Asian study was completed, it was determined that those who ate soyfoods on a regular basis had a lesser percentage of people with cancer, versus those who did not eat soy foods. Once again, this is due to isoflavones!

Whether you are a man eating tofu to add more protein to your diet, a woman eating soy products to help diminish your menopause symptoms, or someone who is eating tofu and soynuts just to be healthy, soy products are a great choice!
